Orthoptics

Orthoptics comes from the Greek word "orthos"=correct and "opsis"= sight. Orthopticians examine disorders of both eyes and of eye movement, such as strabismus,  amblyopia (lazy eye), eye movement disorders, eye twitches.

The orthoptists in our clinic work primarily with patients suffering from eye movement disorders, vertigo, nystagmus and sight disorders founded in a neurological problem.

It is routine procedure to determine a patients vision as well as testing of the patients balance. Testing is also required to examine the movement and cooperation of both eyes.
